Trust Me It’s Not Just You

I know firsthand, life can throw a curve ball out of nowhere that can put you out of the game of life; or so you think. Whether it is financial, relational, health related, job etc., when those things cross our lives unexpectedly, it can turn you around not really knowing which way to go. How do I know, because most of those things and more happened to me.

Joel 2:25, promises us restoration, and that is what I held on to, whenever facing rough times. Regardless, I am human and so I don’t want to mislead you into thinking it was eazy peezy getting my bearings back. rejoining my life.

One of the reasons that “Take2, Steps to Rejoining my Life,” was written, was to do two things. One, to come to the reader transparently to show I had experience in devastation, and I also had experience in living in victory. I believe that what I am required to do, is to encourage as many people as possible, to know that the Lord is no respecter of one, what He did for me, and He WILL do for you.

Some things I know are so devastating that it may be wise to begin with professional counseling and there is certainly nothing wrong with that. Talking with a person that has no bias one way or the other, trained professionally, can certainly be beneficial. The good news is, most employers offer employee assistance programs as a part of the benefit package. Government agencies, depending on qualifiers also offer the same level of support.

With all of that said, I want to be one voice that continues to encourage you “don’t stop where it happened.” Regardless of what is going on in your life, you can make it. I know it doesn’t seem like it in the throes of what is going on, however, I am a living witness that you can. No matter what you have lost, you can rebuild, you can start over and you can live a renewed life — if you will choose to rejoin your life.
